Ducks under Pinkwood

Found the remainder of the baby quilt photos, so relieved as I wanted to have a log of everything I have made. I might as well carry on in reverse order so.....

Baby Quilts; Meleuc May  March (19th?) 2010

Meleuc was born to Anna May, sister of my friend Lauren, who we met whilst touring Oz and staying with Lauren's mum.


Meleuc was born very premature, think she was actually due in June, so the poor little thing was in neonatal until around her due date. Luckily she put on lots of weight and went home a healthy little baby.

The quilt pieces are from Moda again but this time apink and green theme. So definitely girly and I wanted to go for a nature theme as apparently 'Meleuc' is a 

name of a tree. I am however completely gulible but  it's a good reason as any.

I tried to separate the pinks and green to make an interesting colour pattern.....one diagonal pink and one green....I can spend ages arranging squares.

No idea where the duck material came from, another piece sent by mum.
